What is Neurofeedback?

The goal of Neurofeedback is to change unhealthy, dysregulated brainwave patterns into healthy, organized patterns allowing the brain to become more stable and to operate optimally and efficiently.

Neurofeedback is a computer-brain interface that uses sensors placed on specific areas of the scalp which correspond to specific parts of the brain. Frequencies information is provided in the EEG and displayed on the computer screen. These frequencies are selected to be rewarded or inhibited.

How Does It Work?

It is painless and even fun.  Sally applies electrodes to the scalp to monitor brainwave activity.  This activity is processed through a computer program that extracts information about certain key brainwave frequencies.  Some frequencies are promoted, while others are diminished.  This information is presented to the person in the form of a movie or TV show.  Eventually the brainwave activity is "shaped" toward more desirable, more regulated performance.

Greater Ability to Relax and Enjoy Life

"I started Neurofeedback with Sally about 7 months ago and it has helped me tremendously. My entire adult life I have struggled with anxiety and excessive worrying. It impacted my sleep and my quality of life. To my surprise, I felt incremental results begin almost immediately and continuing Neurofeedback (weekly) has resulted in creating a greater ability to relax and enjoy life in ways I struggled to achieve prior to treatment! I am so glad I tried it and so grateful for how well it has worked for me."
